Maluku Province is one of the thirty four provinces in Indonesia. It is in the eastern of Indonesia. Most of the areas are surrounded by the sea. The Maluku province consists of nine regencies and two cities. The nine regencies are central Maluku with Masohi its capital, Southeast Maluku with Langgur its Capital, Western Southeast Maluku with Saumlaki its Capital, Buru with Namlea its Capital, West Seram with Piru its Capital, East Seram with Bula its Capital, Southwest Maluku with Tiakur its Capital, and the two-city Ambon and Tual. The Ambon city is the Capital of Maluku, where in Ambon we can find interesting place. One of them is Soya village.
Soya village is located on the top of Sirimau mountain.  There is the oldest pot in this village.  People call the oldest pot there is “Tampayan Soya”  because they usually put some water on it. People believe that it has power to heal diseases and help them getting the mates. In very hot season, there is plenty of water on it. Most people who lived in Soya work as a farmer, most of the time they take the water. People cannot take the water from it without permission from the head of the village. They cannot find ways back home.  Every year, the villagers always celebrate “Cuci Negeri” tradition on the second week of December. Cuci Negeri is the culture of Soya Village, the aim of it is to clean, protect and avoid the village from the evil spirit.

Beside that, the unique of the village is “Baileo”. It is used as the meeting for the king and representative of family. The seats are made of the stone. This place is also used to inaugurate the king.
Another interesting place is the monument of Fransiscus Xaverius. He was one of the missionaries who visited the village in 1546. He carried out the gospel. To commemorate him, the Moluccas government built his statue in this village. We can see this statue in the right corner of the street.
To visit the monument and come in Soya village, you can go by minibus at a rate of three thousand rupiahs from Mardika station. It is a ten minutes drive. From there, we can see the beautiful panorama of Ambon town. The visitors who want to come there like the woman. They must not have menstruation condition because it is a prohibition in Tempayang area. It can make stopping in it. That’s why, the writer would like to invite many people over the world to come in Ambon city. Especially, they will come and visit in Soya village because there are some interesting places, historical, and beautiful sceneries.  For that, the government must promote and keep the natural environment so that the next generations will be able to know about it. Let us care our cultural because it is very important for us. Love own cultural means that love our land. Where we were born, we grow up as the children in Ambon City.
